Linen Centre and Lisburn Museum

This award-winning museum is based in Lisburn’s oldest building, the 17th Century Market House. It brings the history of the Irish linen industry to life and shows the major role this industry played in Northern Ireland. There are daily demonstrations of heritage hand spinning and hand loom-weaving as well as a treasured collection of damask linen and costumes and some unique artefacts such as linen from the tomb of Tutankhamen!
