Operations Manager
The Haslem Group is looking for an experienced Hospitality Operations Manager to join our team, working across both the Haslem Hotel and The Lark Lisburn.
This is a hands-on role for someone who understands how to run a busy hospitality operation, support teams on the floor, and maintain high standards across food, service, housekeeping, and guest experience. You’ll be working closely with our teams and senior management to ensure consistency, drive performance and help shape the next stage of growth across our group. - Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of The Haslem Hotel and The Lark Bar, ensuring smooth, efficient operations. To ensure the fabric, fixtures and equipment of the premises are properly maintained and presented, both inside and out, with the highest standards of cleanliness and housekeeping. Fill in as department head in the absence of the HOD.
- Staff Management: Lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team of employees, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations. To keep communication clear so that staff plans, challenges, and successes are understood.
- Customer Service:Ensure exceptional customer service standards are maintained, addressing any issues or complaints promptly and effectively. To effectively communicate and develop customer service data so that our teams can see improvements in customer service.
- Financial Management: Monitor and manage budgets, financial performance, weekly wage costs and GP profitability. Using Procure Wizard would be an advantage. Implement cost control measures and identify opportunities for revenue growth.
- Compliance: To ensure an effective and safe working environment is maintained in compliance with applicable legislation, including Licensing Laws, Health, Safety, Fire, Hygiene, Security, and other statutory requirements.
- Strategic Planning:Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, and business growth.
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory control, ordering, and stock management to maintain optimal levels.
- Marketing and Promotion: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional activities and events to attract and retain customers. Initiate new ideas and future planning for key hospitality dates throughout the year. Ensuring follow-through of marketing strategies so that they deliver on customer expectations.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance, financial status, and other key metrics to the senior management team.
Essential Criteria
- Two years of management experience in a 4* hotel property
Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry would be desirable.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities a must.
Solid understanding of financial management and budgeting.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of health, safety, and licensing regulations
